Experience a Coastal Celebration with Nara at either side of the sea with a special menu at Nara BKC and Nara Colaba

Thailand is home to thousands’ of miles of coastline, thus it is no wonder that Thai cuisine bursts with a variety of dishes they celebrate seafood with. The cuisine needs no introduction; the profusion of exotic flavours and fragrances makes it among the most coveted of international cuisines. Mumbai boasts of quite the coastline itself and takes pride in its fresh catch. Taking inspiration from the abundance and freshness of the seafood that Mumbai holds, Nara brings to you the best of Thai cuisine with a local touch.

This November, Nara is ready to take you on a culinary tour with delicacies from an all-new Coastal Celebration menu. Whether it’s deep-fried, steamed, curried or grilled, the freshest catch pretty much passes directly from the local fishing boats to the chef’s hands that make them tastier given it is sourced locally. Think sweet, salty, spicy, every flavour is beautifully enhanced with aromatic herbs and spices.

Dive into the delicious Kung Ta Khir, prawns grilled on lemongrass skewers, that lend a lingering aroma and flavour of the lemongrass to the prawns; Pla Yang Tom Yum Sauce, a delicacy prepared using grilled Indian sea bass that is served with Tom Yum sauce. The Thaw Phad Pu, an Asian favorite is a preparation of crab meat rice-noodles in peanut chili sauce. Don’t miss the Pla Calamed Phad Khamin, stir-fried pomfret that’s cooked in a turmeric sauce while the Goong Mang Kon is a preparation of stir-fried baby lobster with wild coriander. Pla Muk Tord Krob is a serving of crispy-fried salt and pepper squid rings that’s served with a spicy seafood dip and Pla Bombay Tord offers crispy-fried Bombay duck, with relatable flavours and textures.

These comforting seafood delicacies can be paired with Thai martinis and special cocktails curated to go with each of them, like the Koh Lanta that is infused with vodka, jasmine tea, passion fruit, coriander and lime or Koh Phangan that’s made with whisky, pineapple juice, kaffir lime, angostura bitters. The Bangkok Mule that’s a concoction of tequila, cardamom, Aperol, lime and ginger ale and Buriram which is a refreshing mixture of Beefeater gin, turmeric, grapefruit and ginger ale are a must-try.

Serving up fresh-as-it-gets local catch guaranteed to please every seafood lover’s palate, come enjoy a perfect seaside escapade, here at Nara with us at either side of the sea link this winter.
