Pouring at the Turf (we mean only beer): The Eighth Edition Of Tapped – India’s First Craft Beer, Food & Music Festival
Prepare for a perfect Sunday picnic with more than 60 craft beers on tap from around 12 breweries, exciting food pop-ups, beer games and a chance to drink big as Tapped 8.0 comes to Mahalakshmi Race Course on Sunday, 24th November 2019. Founders Nevil Timbadia, Saumya Khona and Bhakti Mehta have put together a fresh line up with top breweries across the state, specially brewed exclusive batches of collaborative brews made with out of state and international breweries, off-the-menu dishes by some of the city’s favourite chefs and restaurants, a marketplace called Tapped Bazaar for F&B retail, live music gigs, games zone, kids play area and Tapped beer awards.
This edition of Tapped will feature twelve breweries that include Kimaya, Effingut, Great State Ale Works, Moonshine Meadery, Yavasura along with Brewbot, Bombay Duck Brewing, Gateway Brewing Co. and 2 Down Beer Co. To give you a chance to try never tried before breweries, Tapped is bringing you Crafters, Cerana and Goa Brewing Co. as they are all set to make their pop-up debut at this edition. With over 60 craft beers on tap, Tapped is definitely a beer-lovers paradise!
What makes it even more exciting this time is that, local and international brewers are putting their heads together for something special. Launching collaborative brews for the first time ever, Tapped will have limited edition freshly brewed beers for the first time that promise to be something unique and never done before. From Lacey Lucy – a racey Belgian style hoppy tripel, Cucumber Gose with gin botanicals to Big in Japan – a Umeboshi, Japanese Plum ale, Bomberg and Brewers Pale Ale Power Cut Reserve, Smoked Lager, bring that craft beer thirst because these are sure to be an unforgettable part of your Tapped 8.0 experience.
Beer and food are made to go together, and that’s exactly what Tapped will allow you to experience. This edition brings to you, Tapped special limited edition food from the city’s beloved restaurants and chefs. The food pop-ups will feature cuisines like Spanish, Italian, Asian, Modern Indian, Vietnamese, Goan and more, look forward to off-the-menu dishes like Gnocchi Arrabbiata and Calamari Fritti from CinCin; Croquetas de Setas, Croquetas de Pollo and Paella de Pollo from Uno Más – Tapas Bar and Kitchen; Pork belly skewer, Barbecue brisket sandwich and Cubano from Nomada that is set to present an A-game Barbeque experience and Crispy Creamed Corn Curd or Banh Mi from Colaba’s MissT. Chef Boo Kim of Dirty Buns will be serving a dirty feast including Teriyaki Mushroom Bao, Mac and Cheese Bowl and Chilli Butter Garlic Prawn Bao while celebrity chef Saransh Goila will be serving up his trademark butter chicken and other delicious dishes like Kebab Rolls and Galouti Rolls from Goila Butter Chicken exclusive for Tapped. For those looking for a quick bite, don’t miss Pack A Pav serving dishes inspired by their recent South American trip, Posh Fries, Waffle House, Good Flippin’ Burgers and insanely delicious pizzas from 1 Tablespoon.
The Tapped Marketplace this year has curated top brands like Native Tongue, Magazine St Kitchen, NOTO Ice Cream, Paul & Mike, La Folie, Naagin, All Heart, Dreamweavers among many others. And when you need a break from the food, Tapped has you covered with Live music performances that will include jazz, blues, rock & roll and Kids play area to keep the little ones busy with games and art-craft workshops all day.
The music line-up features Mihir Mahajan performing Indie covers, Unkle Whisky who will dish out blues; blues rock and rock n roll tunes, Urmi-Sam, Nitesh & Faraz and headliners including AC5, Groove Junktion and Rynosax.
